    Default Mattel Handheld LED Games

While I wait for SoCal to ship me 2 or 3 of these, does anybody have the emulator LEDHead that emulates them?

Every link I find points to Peter Hirschberg's site which is down.

Did anybody have these games? I had Soccer and spent hours on it. Amazing what a few red dots can do.

Yeah these games rock... I keep meaning to get the entire set again, had a couple as a kid.
I may well have the simulator at home, will take a look if you don't find it before hand.

I played the shit out of Basketball as a kid (which is odd, because I don't much care for basketball in real life). I still have it too, although it's a bit worn. I also have Hockey and Soccer (both boxed/complete) which I bought some time in the '80s at close out prices, and played a lot too, but they still look pretty much brand new.

They are incredibly fun. You get completely caught up in them, and forget that you're just looking at red dots.

The only ones who didn't care for them were my parents and older sister. The GOAL sounds and whistles irritated the crap out of them when I played it for hours on end. I can't imagine why..?

Yeah who would think you could get so annoyed by some beeps repeated over and over?

The Game & Watches were the same of course without the option to mute.

Hopefully SoCal ships them this year.

I loved the head to head football game. My brother gave me his when I was a kid I wish I still had it. Oh well maybe someday one will show up on gamegavel and I will pick it up. I've seen Socal walk past them in his big game hunter shows before. I used to waste countless hours playing that game and enjoyed every minute of the annoying sounds and little red blips.

Yes I know it was coleco but same difference. LOL
