    Nintendo 3DS XL - $90

Got some of those mini "arcades".

10" My Arcade Data East Arcade Classics - $80

Had a boatload of Google Play credit from surveys, so I got Final Fantasy 9 on there. I think that was $15

TECHNICALLY didn't have the money for this (these are 25 bucks a pop) but I've been playing the hell out of the Atari 2600 version lately on my computer... and I still friggin' love this game.

Even though I'm fucking terrible at it nowadays...

8 year old me playing Galaxian on the Atari 2600: "Alright, if I die before hitting 20,000 points? I reset and start over again."

Pushing 40 year old me playing Galaxian on the Atari 2600: "Let's see if I can make it to 5,000 before I see a fucking game over."

    I broke down. lol

Got this earlier this morning... 20 bucks.

I knew this existed, but I've never actually SEEN one in person... and a WallyWorld near me had ONE. lol

I played the Windows version a long-ass time ago for a few minutes when I heard that they actually made a proper full size arcade version.

Not sure I've played Galaxian on 2600 much.

    Is it a good port?

I think it's a good version of the game, yeah. In my opinion it's one of the best shooters of its type on the system. lol

As far as Atari 2600 games go, it's actually kind of astonishing as it manages to shove all those multi-colored enemies on the screen and the only time there's any real flicker (and even then it's more of a dimming) is when the enemies make their kamikaze runs. I think the programmers actually patented the method they used to get so much going on on one line without it turning into a flickering mess. :P

There aren't as many enemies on the screen at once and the sound takes an obvious hit, but that's kind of to be expected

Looks better than the crappy Space Invaders port.

Got this earlier at one of the 50 billion WalMarts in the area for 20 bucks. Never thought I'd actually see it on the shelf to be honest. lol

This WalMart in particular is set up weird, though.

The My Arcade, Tiny Arcade, Arcade1Up, keychain Mattel sports games and AtGames friggin' everything are in electronics. Fair enough.

But then stuff like the handheld Oregon Trail and full size Mattel sports games are in the toy isle.

Then in a COMPLETELY different isle entirely they have these Basic Fun games.

    For fuck's sake...
