Our new Top Ten host joins us for the first time and his first pick? An out.

Oh dear. It can only get better from there.

I have a feeling that SoCal would have picked Toki Tori. I believe he has mentioned it a couple of times and used it in a top 10 before.

I had never heard of Tetris Battle Gaiden before until it was mentioned recently in the forums. I will definitely try it out, but I ended up voting for Fire 'n Ice.

I'll post my own favorites after I listen to the top 10 and hear the honorable/dishonorable mentions.

Thanks, I watched part of the vid. Battle Tetris is a lot more complex than I realized. I am sure it is fun, but I don't think it will become my favorite version of the game. It appears to be a lot more about the magic attacks and less about clearing lines.

The slowing down the pieces trick sort of breaks the game flow for me. It is a good strategy, but not really puzzle oriented.

But I am just judging it from the vid. I will play it and give it a fair shake.

I am part way through listening to the top 10. Great debut Random Dave! I liked all of your picks. I am totally with you on Brain Age Sudoku for DS. I prefer the logic in Picross more than Sudoku, but I kept playing the Sudoku puzzles long after getting board of the other Brain Age games. A very nice Sudoku interface.

Same for Tetris Attack - I had it for the SNES and played it a ton. I found the game play very enjoyable and challenging in its own right. I also liked the puzzle challenge levels, but Marathon mode was probably what I played most. The difficulty ramped up at a very satisfactory pace, not too slow and not too fast. Like Tetris, a great game to zone-out on to get your mind off things for a few minutes.

Top work @random_dave great debut. And well done Mike and Scott on your selection.
I was with Scott on only regionally releasing games digitally, but well explained why things aren't Randam.
