    Default Play Expo 2014 - 11/12 October

According to http://www.playexpo.net/ it looks like the date for Play Expo this year has been set. It doesn't say but I hop it'll be at Event City in Manchester again.

Who will be going to this event? Kerry and I would like to offer our help at the booth if Random Dave and UK Mike feel they need some rest. Will Scott be attending?

    I haven't planned what's happening yet.

Check the toilets for SoCal. He's due a visit..............

I just popped along for the Saturday to catch up with old workmates that I've not seen for a while and had a thoroughly good time.

There was a much diminished modern presence which was nice, but probably more anime/cosplay/ccg stuff, so it's not like the space freed up was used for more retro

There were however plenty of pinballs, arcades and consoles. Lots of the consoles (albeit more modern systems) that were out to play were rarer/expensive things, like the jvc wondermega, Panasonic Q and the first time I'd ever seen a PSX in the flesh

They had a pinball 2000, so that was nice, and I had a good time on the deluxe moving after burner, which I don't recall seeing at a UK event before

Now, one big problem this year were the boots for vendors and indies. This year they actually had partition walls up for the booths, which on first glance gave it a much tidier layout than last year's assortment of tables, but it meant you couldn't look a cross the hall and see where you were, we got lost all the time, and it took quite a while to find the rgr booth

Otherwise thougo it was a nice day, and good to spend an afternoon on the punter side of things

Oh, one last thing, the queue to get in, I thought they solved that problem last year, but they clearly haven't, fuck that shit
