Cool The Greatest American Hero Podcast.

How many of you watched The Greatest American Hero back in the 80's? Well I really loved the show as a kid and so have decided to do a podcast celebrating that awesome 80's super hero comedy TV show. The podcast mission is to talk about and explore every episode. Each podcast episode will be about 30 minutes long.

We have been approved by I tunes and right now there is a short trailer episode available.

I want to thank Diagamblic for making a sweet chiptune theme song for the show as well as Vipp and Septic for helping me with the artwork. Also thanks to Focusrs we are now on Itunes and we will soon be searchable.

The Greatest American Hero Podcast Trailer.

I should have episode 1 out this week. I hope fans of the show will listen to and enjoy the very first podcast ever made for The Greatest American Hero.

Would I love to have a replica suit, and would I wear it in public? Yes. I liked it on first run, but after watching the entire series recently (and my favorite ones a few times) I really fell in love with it. Let's put it this way, it is the only property I have considered writing fan fiction for. There could be so many great stories for Ralph and others. I would love to hear more about the exploits of J.J. Beck and his partner.

If you have a feedback portion of the podcast, I will be sure to contribute text or audio. Can't wait!

Ah that's great dude. Yes I definitely would welcome some contributions to the podcast. If you have anything in mind send it my way to tgahpodcast@gmail.com I agree it would be awesome if the adventures of Ralph, Bill and Pam could continue. William Katt sadly gave up on his comic book series which is a shame.

The first episode has been launched! It's clean and family friendly.

    TGAHP 01: The Pilot.
In the premier episode of the show I take a close look at the incredible pilot episode of the great 80's superhero TV show The Greatest American Hero. I go scene by scene through the entire pilot and discuss the plot, specific scenes that I liked, the lawsuit between DC comics and ABC, the differences between the broadcast and DVD releases and much much more. If you are a super fan of The Greatest American Hero or just someone who has heard of the show and would like to know more, then this is a must listen to episode. So grab a beverage and relive this awesome show all over again!

Special thanks to Diagamblic who created the awesome NES chiptune rendition of the show's theme song. Also thanks to Vipp, and Septic Lemon for working hard on making cover art for the podcast. I hope you all enjoy the show and come back for more.

Most importantly a very special thanks to the wonderful creators of this awesome TV show that has spawned countless fans and endless adoration.

    Checking it out.
I loved that show as a kid.
Though I will admit that the last few times I tried to watch it I fell asleep.
Not really sure how it has truly aged.

Thanks Spin! It probably sounds a little canned. This is my first solo podcast and I've discovered that it's really difficult at times to not sound like a professor. I guess I've been teaching for far too long. It will get better however as I get used to solo podcasting.

I think the show has aged pretty well. Sure it's chalk full of 80's cheesiness but if you can forgive that it's still entertaining and funny in my opinion.

My NES arrangement of the theme song is now on Youtube!

You can also download the song from Soundcloud:

If you'd like a copy of the NSF (NES Sound Format) or an actual NES ROM with the music, let me know!
