I've made a new video series looking at books about gaming - and here's the pilot, on Game Over by David Sheff...

Excellent idea for a series! I look forward to more reviews.

I was disappointed a little to hear that others thought that the book had some stories that may not have been 100% accurate (I think it was Howard Phillips in an RGR interview), nevertheless, I really enjoyed the book. As a Tetris fan, I loved reading the full details on the history of the game.

I am sure you will get to it eventually, but Console Wars by Blake J. Harris is a great book that focuses on Sega's challenge to Nintendo in the 16 bit era. I felt that it was very well researched.

Oops, somehow missed this - thanks for the kind words. And I did not know that about the Phillips interview, I'm going to look that up now. Tetris was definitely one of the best bits about the book too. Also Console Wars is definitely on my to do list!

Coincidentally, I released a new episode of the show the other week too:

Just in time for Christmas I take a look at The Grinch on the Game Boy Color. Nobody really talks about this game, but why?

Very nice review (and nice game selection)! I hadn't heard of this game. Thanks!
