    With the holidays approaching you can bet you will start seeing video game ads on the rise. It got us thinking, what were some of the best retro gaming ad campaigns we remember? Well, here is our list of favorites. Maybe yours is in there and maybe it's not.

    Not the mention the Ad campaign that save Sega's ass in the 32 bit era!

    I voted for George, but the Top 10 needs more ColecoVision.

    I know its not retro but there was that incredible Xbox commercial a few years ago - from the womb to the grave. I think it was a Europe only ad so if you didnt see it - enjoy!

    I love classic game ads, this should be a fun top 10. I probably should have voted for George Plimpton, but I went with the Atari "Which Player?" ads. I always thought they were cool, and told you something about the game in the process. A practical ad.
    If you can't do it with 8 bits, you don't need to do it.

    I thought the 'Play it Loud' campaign was pretty interesting especially coming from Nintendo. Like said in the description for the video below, who thought Nintendo would use The Butthole Surfers in a commercial?
