Scott (and anyone else who may have dabbled)

Currently I have coax for my terrestrial digital tv signals going into a "Y" adapter, which is plugged into my HTPC's tuner card, and then into my TV tuner

When the PC is on i get around a 50% drop in signal strength and around 50% increase in Bit Errors on the signal

Can this be improved at all by making my own Y junction that utilises diodes to prevent any inteference going the 'wrong' way between the tv and the pc, or is it simply a case that the signal current is going to be divided in a way that physics dictates that can't be helped without increasing the gain before the split path occurs (it was a long time since i did any real physics lessons)
