I did a little when I set out to complete it. It can feel a little unfair as you can easily lose a lot of lives in a row. It makes up for it by giving you lots of extra lives though.

My next walk-through is on uTube. This time it is Starquake, as I said in the Speccy Top 10 thread, it is the best Ultimate "clone" game on the spectrum. Like Saberwulf it feels a bit unfair in places but makes up for it by giving you lots of extra lives. You start with 4 but I managed to get up to 24 at one point and finished the game with 22:

I'm thinking of going for Skool Daze next as it was one of SoCal's favorites in the top 10.

    My next video is here:

Sorry it isn't Skool Daze. I discovered that to actually complete Skool Daze it can get really boring. Once or twice I spent almost an hour staying out of trouble and waiting for Mr Creek to spill the beans on what year he was born. In the end I gave in and when for a homebrew game - Subacuatic by the Mojo twins. As this is a 128K game I needed to use my 128K speccy I also used my new divIDE to load it. No more making a cup of team while you wait for a game to load . If anyone is interested I'm happy to write up a review of it here by the way?

Unfortunately when I hook my 128K speccy to my DVD recorder the screen flashes periodically. That happens when using either composite video or RF so I think my DVD recorder might be to blame. If anyone knows what the answer might be please let me know?

    And another one:

Even though I don't think anyone is watching them anymore. I don't care thought I'm going to keep going. Picking a game and learning to complete it then videoing it is fun.

After completing Subacuatic I thought I'd have a go at the sequel, Subacuatic Reloaded. It might be because I played Subacuatic first but I think the sequel is a lot easier. To overcome the bright flashes I was getting with the last video I used a video capture USB device. Although I don't think the image is as sharp :-|, comments welcome.

As promised I'm still going .

My latest walk through is Rex part 1. My intention is the record the walk-through of the second part using the code at the end to make a complete walk-through of the game. This is a cool game and well worth trying for anyone that hasn't played it before.

I'm just getting going on part 2 now and that's really tough. It is a great game, I'm finding it hard to put down at the moment.

On a related note I played Jetpac all the way back round to the first ship/screen last night and wished I'd recorded that so I could have put that up.

My next video is now live on youTube. As promised I completed and uploaded Rex Part 2 yesterday:

It is one of those games that now I've completed it I'm sad that it is finished. I think the last 4 videos I've posted are a bit more obscure that some of the early ones, e.g. Knightlore or Atic Atac but all are terrific games and highly recommended to anyone who's into older games.

It has been a while but I've added a couple of new videos this morning. They are walkthroughs of levels 1-20 and 21-41 of Mushroom man for the ZX spectrum. I choose Mushroom Man as it is a very addictive game and when I got stuck and looked for a video walkthrough there wasn't one.

Unlike my other videos this hasn't been done on original hardware. I used Speculator's video capture capability and it is much better quality than the previous videos.
