The best one is the i-Pac, comes in PS/2 and USB flavours.

The one pictured supports 2 players with up to 8 buttons each.

    Hello,

I would like to share my experiene on a MAME cab that I built.

I live in Brazil and it is hard to get imported things for a reasonoble price. My government has import taxes that are calculeted by the price of the product added to the price of the trasnportation (that is ridiculous!).

Considering that the i-PAC ships DHL, the cost would be prohibitive for me. In this way, I decided to take the cheap road and hacked a keyboard (I could get a chinese brand for 5 USD).

It works perfectly for one player. The problem is that when you are playing with someone else and you end up pressing four buttons at a time the computer sounds a bip and ignore the key strokes. This is frustrating!

So, invest on I-PAC that they say it hasn't this problem.

    Best Regards,
    Moises

+1 for i-Pac2. I've been using mine for 6-7 months and it's been flawless.

There's an off-brand one I've seen around the major auction site that goes for around $25. There are a few builders who use them over on byoac.
