About the 6.60 Pro B10: I have heard that some emulators and homebrew do not work because of something that Sony changed in the latest firmware. Keep trying until you find one that does. I never updated past 6.39 so I'm not sure which one will work.

Will do, hopefully I can find one. I got a nes, snes, megadrive, and atari running, so I am pretty well set, but, I would like to play ladybug. :-)

I will give your recommendation a go miner.

Honestly, I am so happy I have an excuse to turn the PSP on. I thought about selling, glad I didn't now.

Wow! No weird 'batteries' and shit anymore ???? Thank God!
So I can buy any old PSP and bet there're a good few ppl upgrading to Vita !
Shame MAME sounds so hit n miss-THAT'S what I'd really like on it-That and VP -I can dream I guess.

So last Saturday after a brief talk with Indieseoul (thanks btw) I ended up buying a PSP street.
Went home, plugged it in then went out again to buy a memory stick!

Anyway, getting it "homebrew ready" was a piece of cake but I'm running into difficulties with some of the emulators.

Let's take things one at a time. The GBA.
What's my best option? I tried several options and versions and the most stable seems to be the Japanese version of gpSP. The English version seemed to get into some kind of quirk mode after every 2-3 uses. Is it just me?

Yeah the GBA emulator is kind of a pain in the butt for the latest firmwares. I have been using the signed version that I got from Wololo.net. I have used the Japanese one from time to time as well for games that this one won't emulate. I pretty much stick to the signed version on my psp because it runs the majority of games and allows you to use the widescreen mode. Let me know if it works for you or not. With the signed one you don't even need the CFW running.

You can change the Japanese GBA emulator to English by following this video tutorial. This one does seem to work better now since it is the only one that is getting constant updates.

Grabbed myself a second hand PSP yesterday. All hacked and running a few emulators. They're actually really cheap now, got one for £50 bundled with a few games and bits.

I paid £40 for mine about a year back.

If you haven't already got one, I'd recommend getting a Memory Stick adaptor that takes two SD cards (like this http://bit.ly/YZq2DX) to expand the storage capacity. You just load it up with two SD cards and then format it.
