Default Boredom : A list of my Atari 2600 games

*EDIT* Well, I got them all a little while back, so I'm re-doing this list with the complete little collection that I've got as of now. lol

Even though I don't technically have the system itself (I do have a unmodified Flashback 2). Dammit. But a local pawn shop has them for a buck apiece, and had I think about 40 of them before I started in on them. And they usually knock the price down a little by the time I get to the checkout counter.

But yeah, not counting the games on the Flashback 2 here they are :

    Frogger
    Mouse Trap
    Venture
    Seaquest
    River Raid
    Tennis
    Ice Hockey
    Astroblast
    Riddle of the Sphinx
    Dragonfire
    Demon Attack
    Atlantis
    Video Olympics
    Home Run
    RealSports Baseball
    RealSports Football
    Space Jockey
    Indy 500
    Berzerk
    Warlords
    Football
    Basketball
    Bowling
    Moon Patrol
    Swordquest : Fireworld
    Missile Command
    Video Pinball
    Space Invaders
    Star Raiders
    Demons to Diamonds
    Vanguard
    Asteroids
    Air Sea Battle
    Combat
    Space War
    Adventure
    Human Cannonball
    Jungle Hunt
    Pac-Man
Star Trek : Strategic Operations Simulator (Got it from here on GG about an hour ago)
Popeye (Got that one from here at the same time as Star Trek)

None of them are in the box or anything, just loose cartridges, but at least they've got a bunch of the good ones. Two that I can think of off the top of my head that are on my "want list" are Star Trek : Strategic Operations Simulator(got it) and Tac Scan. But I'll worry about that for if I happen to stumble across the system that doesn't cost an arm and a fucking leg.

And these plug and play games, which, yes. I know that all of them but the Flashback 2 are NES on a chip, but hey. I still like 'em

    Atari Flashback
    Atari Flashback 2
    10 in 1 Joystick
    Activision 10 in 1
Single player 13 in 1 paddle controller
Two player 13 in 1 paddle controller

And non Atari related plug and plays :

Senario 101 in 1 (pirate NES)
Some generic howevermanyin1 that is just a shitton of really bad NES powered games
Arcade Legends : Space Invaders (kinda cool, an arcade style joystick. But for some reason now the video doesn't work. Dammit.)
Arcade Legends : Street Fighter II : Championship Edition (Genesis on a chip)
Arcade Legends : Sega Genesis Vol. 1 (Genesis on a chip)
Arcade Legends : Sega Genesis Vol. 2 (Genesis on a chip)
Both the single player and 2 player EA Sports (Madden and NHL '95 I think. Not sure of the year. lol Genesis on a chip)
    The Batman
The Namco one with Pac-Man, Bosconian and Dig Dug
    Frogger
Coleco Head to Head 12 in 1
    Disney 5 in 1
Golden Tee Golf : Home Edition
    Mortal Kombat
Intellivision 10 in 1 - The first version of it.
Some generic 50 in 1 thing I got at Wallgreens
Some kinda fashion thing for girls
Some kinda DDR style game that uses NES on a chip. Yes, it really is as bad as you think it is.
And some generic howevermanyin 1 thing that has a bunch of really bad games that run off of NES on a chip. The sports section of it shows a golfer, but there aren't any golf games, and the directional pad is the most unresponsive piece of shit I've ever encountered.

I started collecting for the 2600 a few months back, its been slow but i'm prepared to be patient as i want the games boxed.(this is difficult in the UK)
Its a great system and obviously the original home console, get yourself a nice 6 switch Woody and mod it for s-video, i think you'll enjoy the system if you give it a chance.

That is a good start any luck on getting a console yet? Keep at it and look on the auctions here there are always great deals. I like Atlantis a lot I can just hear the sound effects ...

I've had Riddle of the Sphinx for what, 25 years now, and I've never figured out what I'm supposed to do. It looks great, and it seems like a game I would enjoy but every time I pop it in I'm left scratching my head. Anyone know what to do in that game?

I enjoy picking up 2600 carts when I see them, but no way I'm trying to collect boxed. Way too much time an money.

You've got a lot of great games there, Dhalamar. Pretty much no duds, but my favs of what you've got listed are:
Missile Command - fantastic arcade port. Rob Fulop got a certificate for a free turkey after completing it (it sold about 3 million copies)
Moon Patrol - decent port, plays well. I always liked this game.
Space Invaders - classic. Check out the tons of game variations.
Star Raiders - you need the keypad controller, but it's an awesome game
Warlords - one of the best multiplayer games ever, as discusse don RGR
River Raid - an Activision shooting classic
    Berzerk - fantastic arcade port
Dragonfire - one of the best "quick play" games ever. Super twitchy in later levels.
Atlantis - one of those games where you have to let your mind go and just "get in the zone."

Dhalamar, I'll try to get a good 2600 set listed within a week or so if you still need one. I've got several I need to clean and test. I'm in Illinois also, so shipping should be reasonable.

BydoEmpire, Check out replacementdocs.com. You can download the manual for Riddle there. It's a great site. IIRC Riddle of the Sphinx is a great game. Haven't played it in many, many years.
    My GameGavel auctions

If everyone who wishes there was an alternative to Ebay would buy or sell one item a month on GameGavel, there would be.

I updated the original post with what I've got now since I hit up that pawn shop I was referring to and snagged all the rest of the games they had. heh

And I think SoCal found one in his travels that he's sending me eventually. lol

So I'll probably be hitting up GG once a week or so and snagging the cheapie games I don't already have. There are a few sealed ones I was thinking of getting (nothing special, Taz, Ice Hockey and Astroblast) but I couldn't get a sealed game regardless of the price (okay there are exceptions, but you get what I mean) just because I generally don't get anything I wouldn't play. And I'd feel bad about ripping them open. :P

I'm honesty thinking of picking up the Space Invaders Arcade hack from Atariage sometime, just have a LITTLE closer to the original version of it. That's one of my big beefs with Atari's version of it. And to be perfectly honest, I hate the variations. lol
