Scott's piece about being left behind by changing controls was a true eye-opener for me. It's explained my own evolving taste in games over the years as well as my long and abiding dislike of the...
Wahey! I loved hearing this top ten, particularly the unexpected love for Galactic Pinball on the Virtual Boy. I think I played that one more than every other VB game combined. It was also nice to...
I'd like to hear a top ten of games on unsuccessful platforms. Games that are good but often miss attention due to running on unpopular hardware. Examples would be computers such as the Oric Atmos,...
I picked Gyruss, which was great. But if Tempest were there I would have gone with that. Assuming Tempest is space. It is very abstract but I always thought of it as being in space.
I heard my name in Dinosaur Pie. Twice.
Made my evening, it did.
I'd go for Action Biker on the C64. Nice, relaxing budget game.

Survivor for me by miles. I played it for ages when I first had it and still give it a bash from time to time. Great fun.
It's the Dreamcast for me. I'm convinced that all of the stars were in perfect alignment when Sega created that one. Great hardware, brilliant games and you can run homebrew on an unmodified console.

Scramble for me. That one hits the sweet spot of playability and challenge just right.
Top ten comedy games. Or has that been done?
Little Nemo in Slumberland goes back to 1905, so it should be in the public domain. Unless Disney had the law changed again.
It's got to be Pitfall 2 for me. That game was massive and beautiful.
I bought a copy of the game 'Gadget: Past as Future' directly from Cryo's website. They shipped worldwide but the site and the order form had absolutely no accommodation for international purchasers....
Woohoo! I made it out with all of my precious components! New York Toy Fair, here I come!
If you consider the idea of what a licence is then there shouldn't be a problem. The whole point is that when you buy a game you purchase the right to play the game, not use of its code or assets,...
To his credit and in all fairness I did listen to and enjoy his Retro Gaming Radio, learned of this show from its being mentioned on his forum and consequently have been listening since show 1 and...
I'd have to re-listen to them or at least hear this top ten to be certain but until then I have to go with the top ten worst games. Because as wonderful as it is to hear the classics properly lauded...
FWIW, they are back now. Also, I've heard a rumour that Fallout 3 and possibly New Vegas are on a leaked list of games that will be coming to GOG later this year. Which is nice. I've been playing...
Very difficult choice for me between MULE and Warlords. MULE has a wonderful atmosphere and a perfect mix of different sections that all work together. Warlords has gorgeous, silky gameplay. But for...
I just saw this now. I don't quite know what to say but I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss, UK.
I, for one, was very very confused while listening to this month's VAT discussion until I realised that you were talking about clothing made from *fur*skins.
Is this Room 101 experience the literary sort in which you strap cages full of rats to their faces or the radio/television one that's the opposite of Desert Island Discs?
When I saw the news of that I was reminded to seek out (and did find) the Usborne Book of the Future.

Software that you could use to cut and paste video clips. That reminds me. How stupid was I with my earlier recommendations, to completely miss out on the Absolute Greatest Music Game of All Time? By...
