We recently got a shower installed in my office, I didn't know that meant I could now call it a campus

If you have an outside spicket, can always hook a hose to it and call it a shower.

Got a good chuckling of the showers and lawyers thing, especially since it really looks like Piko Entertainment is a more legit operation than Retro at this point.

If you have an outside spicket

That's a new word on me.

I like it.

Lol. Spicket = outside water hose hookup. At least in the red neck area I live in.

Its 'spigot' isn't it?

It might be. I just spelled it the way it sounds I guess.

Would it be fair to say, aside from the situation between the RGR crew and SoCal, that Mike was basically taken for a ride and left holding the wheel when the "cops" showed up?
Feels like this Lee guy is the real "final boss" of this adventure.

Is anyone else not sick of this shit? Seems to be the same regurgitated bollocks. Just like the WOZ debacle here down under

And yet I keep reading it ha ha ha ha ha

Not exactly.

He was denying having a SNEZZINAJAG when he knew he had a SNEZZINAJAG.

He deleted the DVR pic and later claimed to be shocked when he saw it.

When I see stuff like this, I try to picture how I could end up there. Here, that isn't that difficult. I think SoCal Mike had an idea he thought was incredibly cool (really cool!) and wanted to make it come true. I think, perhaps, he didn't quite have the background in hardware that would make this a more easy fit. So I think, if a dream I had, that I sunk a ton of money into, started to crash around me, because perhaps I bit off far more than I could chew, and other people were kind of depending on me to meet their expectations, and if I still believed in the project proper, how few little lies to myself would this take. Probably not a lot. The big ones are "this can still work" and "I can fix this." Not far from there to "yeah, sure, the hardware guy is definitely not lying" or "I don't care that this isn't really anything but a SNES-in-the-box, it's just showmanship for investors."

I see this whole thing and I don't laugh about it. I cringe a little, and I feel bad for him.

Well when it comes right down to it. I'm not going to get angry at SoCal for this whole situation. I don't have enough information (even with all that's available). I'm upset, but there's been too much in my life when it comes to getting rid of friends that has me conflicted.
I'm also not going to get mad at you or Scott because you guys have your own side of the situation and have every right to speak your mind. You guys are like family to me. Like I've mentioned previously, getting the chance to hang out with you guys was a highlight of the last CGE. I keep wanting to get to one of Scott's arcade parties, but my work schedule and how much I have saved up hasn't allowed it.
Who I am getting angry and annoyed with, are the blind sheep who are just following the hate train without knowing the whole situation. People like Rich who runs a certain Youtube channel that I won't mention so it doesn't show up in a Google search. The guy pretty much acts like SoCal killed his puppy.

Now Scott had mentioned that he was looking for one of the clear Jag shells. If I had an extra, he would be the first person it would go to. As it is, my wife thinks the thing is really cool, and I may just make my own prototype with it. Also have one of the cartridge shells as well.

The whole situation sucks. It is encouraging to see Coleco moving forward with anything, though. Loved the interview though.

From games, to VAT tax (shed a tear when I heard about your brother, Mike. Sorry man), to witness cross-examination. Next month open heart surgery?

Also, RGR drinking game should include finish your beverage when Scott tells of the Christmas he got a Colecovision. I know not everyone has heard it, so it's good to go over.

I've just finished listening to this.

It was well interesting.

I have a question, was anyone actually dicked out of any money through all this?

Piff Merkin

Yes, the people who supported the project were dicked out of money. Those involved, often spent their own money thinking, once it was kickstarted they would receive a return in investment. The list of those people and the money they spent is not unsubstantial.

I need to stress that while they were busy making vaporware, Piff made an actual product.

Oh wow, I didn't realise that at all.
