I'm saving this episode for my long flight to the U.S. Retrogaming Round Up is the best in flight entertainment anyone could ask for. :)

Are you going to MAG Fest Indie? this podcast is brilliant too.

I will likely buy a copy of the 2600 game as long as the price is reasonable. 60 is the max (modern game price).

I was thinking of some Nintendo ad campaigns, and came up with these:

Earthbound print ad- http://earthboundcentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/ebsac_mail_inside.jpg
The NES commercial I'm more familiar with that had the "Now You're Playing With Power" slogan- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXC-KQzJkAA

Oh, and I didn't see the poll about the RGR game, but I'm very interested in getting it. I'll be doing a second job just after Christmas that will help me put money aside to go to Las Vegas this year.

We didn't have commercial tv in Sweden until -88 so the only commercials I remember was the ones that they sometimes put at the beginning of the vhs-rentals. There was an abundance in the comic-books though.

On a side note, neither teletext nor M.A.S.H has ever stopped transmitting here.

I consider you lucky on all counts.

Another great episode! For the first time, I wasn't waiting for the new ep because of being so busy, so it was a great surprise! I didn't see the poll for the game either; not only will I buy one, I guarantee to deliver a video of the deaf cd thief playing it!

The comic is the legendary Steven Wright.

AKA K-Billy, from K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's in the movie Reservoir Dogs

Yeah Steven Wright is hilarious. Oddly he only released two comedy albums: "I Have a Pony" and "I Still Have a Pony". I've been a fan since I was a kid. My kind of humor. :)

I listened to this month's episode on a long 10 hour flight. The flight seemed much shorter thanks to RGRU. Was cool to hear Stalking the Retro mentioned again on the show. We have a special Christmas episode coming soon as an homage to the Very Very great Retro Gaming Roundup Podcast. So stay tuned for that. :)

We will have to coordinate the special demo for you-know-who for a time when you can make it down.

They're from the special edition box set. I have the one with about 8 discs.

They happen to go to events that the real CD Thief visits.

Vipp

ah, i understand now. How ironic would that be, if he was watching you play the game whilst slipping cds off the table into his pocket. lol

What you should do is have about 20 cds made up but have UK Mike edit the first few seconds of each podcast with a recording that says @Retro gaming roundup, just as good even when stolen" or something as such. when he gets home and pops it on his pc to have a listen he might get the hint.

I liked the clip of "all my Ex's live in Texas."
As I heard the references to CGE, it made me wonder if there is going to be a CGE next year.
Does anyone know?

SubaruBrat
29-12-12, 06:03
No official word yet on CGE 2013, were holding our breath as it were.

Vipp, he wouldn't get that message, as he is the deaf.

lol. I might have been medicated when that logic was floating around my head.
