Hello everyone,
It looks like my dream of finally being able to purchase an actual retail :SNES: SNES portable is finally a reality.
Yobo has done it again, this time releasing a handheld system capable of playing most SNES NTSC, PAL, and Super Famicom games.

You can read all about it and see a video demonstration review here (http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/10/yobos-handheld-snes-gives-your-old-carts-a-new-lease-on-life-v/).

And if So Cal Mike (http://www.chasingthechuckwagon.com/forum/member.php?u=1) is interested and capable in carrying these in the future, I will likely be a purchaser down the inevitable line :SFK

Feel free to post related comments in this thread.
I want to hear everyones opinions and reactions! :RY

Yea, I wanna pick up one of these too. The black one would be nice. I'm waiting on someone to give a detailed review though, for compatibility and how it holds up long-term. My Gen Mobile is holding up strong, but my original FC Mobile don't read carts any more.

A member of another podcast, The Retro League (http://www.theretroleague.com/) did a review of the FC 16 Go in episode #9 (http://theretroleague.com/2009/12/15/episode-9--atarisnes-games-of-the-week-the-price-is-wrong-and-more-in-this-supermega-episode.aspx). That review coupled with the information he posted on OoPA (http://webguyunlimited.com/forgottenmemories/index.php?topic=371.msg2688#msg2688) paints a fairly clear picture of the FC 16 Go.

Thanks for that link. I definately am wanting one of these....just waiting to get the cash for it. I got a small collection of around 50 SNES games I have built up so far (compared to 100 Genesis titles, 150 NES titles, 12 32X and 40 Sega CD with all of em growing with every used game, flea market, and pawn shop visit) and would love to play the real thing on the go, not just a ROM.
