Starting with our April 09' podcast we will be airing the first part of a three-part discussion on locating, constructing and configuring your own MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) Arcade Machine.

So, if you have made your own Mame cab (or own one) and have photos to prove it, please post your photos here for other Mame Newbies to see.

Here's my Trashcade!

Like I said in my HotRod thread, the 32" flat panel was WAY to big for this type of application. So it's back to the 20" CRT for now.

If your room is bigger than 14'x9', be happy, very happy! :)

I was fortunate enough to find one of these locally, used. Hanaho used to contract manufacture cabs for sega and others so it's a beautifully built cabinet. It is holding a 17" monitor, has a working coin door and lit marquee. Note the pull out keyboard tray. It uses their popular Hot Rod Control Panel which you can buy seperately and use with your computer as in the photo from Turbo2X above - the purple controller.

Get a good deal on it?

The prices for the prebuilt Mame 'cades I've seen are insane; and I'm not a cheap person! :O:

I think I paid around $900 for it. Came completely as is preloaded with all the games and everything. I think these were around $3000-$4000 new and they may even still be making them. I love this machine to no end ! Just wish it had a spinner and trackball though.

Wow, that's a steal!

I'm beginning to think that you use some kind of mind control device to attain your 'deals'.

Please don't ask to buy any of my stuff... :DLOOK:

... or your 'marks' are the newly crack addicted!

Games preloaded? Did that make the seller nervous?
